The Board of Trustees of the Higher Learning Commission took the following actions at their meeting on February 23–24, 2017.

Arizona

Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, Approved a change of control, structure or organization for the school to remain an institution accredited by HLC after it separately incorporates.

Pima County Community College District, Removed from Notice.
Institution notified on March 9, 2017. Information for the public posted by HLC on March 9, 2017.

Arkansas

Black River Technical College, Placed on Probation.
Institution notified on March 7, 2017. Information for the public posted by HLC on March 8, 2017.

Illinois

North Central College, Approved a change of control, structure or organization for the institution to acquire certain assets of Shimer College, with Shimer College ceasing to be an independently accredited institution.

Shimer College, Approved the institution’s teach-out agreement with Illinois Institute of Technology in the event that the transaction with North Central College does not occur by June 1, 2017.

Taylor Business Institute, Granted Initial Accreditation.

Indiana

Martin University, Removed from Probation.

Iowa

Upper Iowa University, Placed on Notice.

Kansas

Donnelly College, Placed on Probation.

Pulaski Technical College, Approved a change of control, structure or organization for the College to remain an institution accredited by HLC after joining the University of Arkansas System.
